@georgetakei I call mine Robonukkah! It makes it more festive sounding in between all those other holidays in December!
There is even traditional lasagna dinner with either cheese cake, or Black Forest cake for dessert, or both!
@georgetakei We call it the "birthday season". It starts when the birthday person is ready for it to start... very lenient rules, but starts slow a couple weeks before, and then ends when the birthday person is done, and they are always tired of it before a month is up. So much can go wrong on any particular day or even week; work, illness, family obligations, so it works great. There are only two of us, and our birthdays are six months apart and not near holidays, so it is really perfect.
@georgetakei What I do is I celebrate a birthday time every day! It works like this: Let's say I was born on February 12th. In European date format, that's 12.02. That means every day when I happen to look at a digital clock, and it happens to be 12:02 (PM), I can celebrate my daily birthday time. Happy birthday to me!
@georgetakei My wife and I call it the "birthday fortnight". clearly we need a couple night, a family night with our son, a family night that includes my mother AND my son, a close friends night as minimum. That's 5 nights - no way you can squeeze that in without using two weekends, minimum
