Trump's claim that he's above the law is absurd. But that's not the point.

It's a ploy to delay the possibility of his conviction until after the election.

No matter how SCOTUS rules, the MAGA justices have given him a win by delaying his trial to indulge this argument.

@rbreich Yup, Trump's already won in that respect, & new laws signed in Georgia are looking like that'll be delayed long enough as well.

It's all up to New York now...

@rbreich not just the MAGA justices! they all played ball at the edge of the Overton window.

@rbreich Why Biden’s campaign is not already wall-to-wall with ads explicitly using language from yesterdays SCOTUS arguments telling Americans he genuinely believes Trump is a corrupt individual and something must be done to prevent him from returning to the White House is beyond me.

@rbreich I wouldn't be surprised if they delay it long enough to give trump unlimited power without allowing Biden to take advantage of it.

@rbreich SCOTUS just exposed their criminality and lack of ethics and integrity. It is full of gop hacks and subversives.

@rbreich why call it absurd when a member of the ruling class says he is master of his own tool and plaything, the precious "rule of law?"

The Failed States of America and all of its institutions are sick jokes
