@arstechnica Could it be that Facebook is not something holding aloof from not doing enough? It itself is doing enough! ? Doing enough to do what the Russians are also doing, after all are Poot-Book both not complicit in the same old anti-communist cold war zealotry? Russia's anti-communism of poot backed initially by that which Zuck & co exist in? Now out of control and the anti-communist west is divided between those who won't reign their anti-commie out on a limb in and those who do?

@arstechnica on Facebook and Instagram I keep receiving requests from accounts that are very obviously fake. It's like they're not even trying. The fake accounts creators don't try to hide because Meta is not trying to catch them. Even if you report them, they do nothing.

@arstechnica Meta not operating their platform in a responsible way? How many times has this been reported on by now!? Meta has some serious work to do to get back on the level

"Brussels is set to open a probe into Meta’s Facebook and Instagram as soon as Monday over concerns the social media giant is failing to do enough to counter disinformation from Russia and other countries.

Regulators suspect that Meta’s moderation does not go far enough to stop the widespread dissemination of political advertising that risks undermining the electoral process,"

@arstechnica Anglo governments bending over backwards for their Zuckerberg and wondering why their societies are going to shit.
As usual on Technology the EU shows the way, Anglo governments just wallow in corruption and bile.
