@rbreich You appear not to care that the price of oil doesn't reflect its true ecological cost - but then you're an economist, so you've been trained not to do so. Burning the stuff & its derivatives, along with coal & natural gas, has led the level of CO2 in our atmosphere to over 425 ppm - one not seen for over 3 million years. The last time it was this high, global warming was 3 Celsius, & sea levels were over 65 ft higher than now.
