@georgetakei This was a huge mistake. Me and a lot of others were calling this man stupid, when he did nothing wrong. Turns out it was an error on the court documents and his license was not suspended at the time he appeared in court.

@georgetakei He knew he was supposed to appear to answer the charges of driving with a suspended license. No matter whose fault it was, he should have known that appearing while driving would have consequences.

@georgetakei this has been a messed up story for sure. My understanding is he’s never had a license in his entire life.

@georgetakei But it turned out his suspension had ended in something like 2022, and he spent 2 days in jail for no reason. I laughed at this, too, but felt bad later.

@georgetakei This is basically a real-life Key&Peele sketch.

@georgetakei this is so old that it's been updated twice. First, the license was no longer suspended, and second, he never had a license.
If you watched The Young Turks, you'd know this.

@georgetakei This is a horseshit story. His license WAS NOT suspended. Court had the wrong info. He should sue.

@georgetakei Due to a clerical error, his license was incorrectly listed as suspended for the last two years.

@georgetakei with respect, this turned out to be a lot more about institutional racism than about a dumbass driver.
