20 Republican attorneys general are demanding that the Supreme Court block individual states like California from suing Big Oil for their climate impacts.
Funny how conservatives only believe in "states rights" for certain issues.
"States rights" is and always has been a euphemism for the "right" of a state to allow slavery in it's territory, and, later on, the "right" of a state to segregate and discriminate against non-white citizens. It never was intended to apply to anything else (see, for example, the Fugitive Slave Act).
@rbreich Isn't it about time to acknowledge that the Republican party is the party of people who are paid by other countries to damage the US? Russians, Chinese, and anybody in competition with the US for anything, including corporations who want to get richer?
@rbreich Republicans are chaos agents. They won't be happy until America is burned to the ground. With their anti-reality positions on everything, America will likely burn down due to uncontrollable wildfires.
