But yeah, even if you pretend it's not vaporware, considering the game will remain in this state for the foreseeable future, it only makes sense they wouldn't be fond of cheating that could affect sales.
@arstechnica They weren't banned. They are suspended for 3 months. Big difference. They have no legal ground to ban them, as the product has not yet been released as it was supposed to according to the stretch goals made on Kickstarter.
