Somewhat unrelated, the best times I ever had was going to the "Queens Shilling" in Bristol. It was a gay nightclub and I would go just to enjoy the music and chill out.
There was no pressure to hook up, etc and I loved it.
Also the music was way better that the other nightclubs!
