@georgetakei She needs to start charging him a monthly "maternity service fee" and "post natal care fee"of, oh, about $6000/mo.

I mean, he wanted to have a baby it sounds like, and expects her to pay "her share"of the housing, so he should compensate her for lost work, risk to health, pain and suffering, and the use of her body for fetal gestation.

@georgetakei That husband is financially abusing her. By draining her savings and refusing to share money despite earning a couple orders of magnitude more than her, he's making sure that she's completely unable to do anything alone, let alone consider leaving.

She needs to gtfo from this dude, he's dangerous.

@georgetakei To be truly fair, rent should be split 4:1, so she would pay $650 while he pays $1950. And since he played a role in the pregnancy he should fund everything while she is not receiving income, or should pay her so she can cover her parts of the expenses. All the same, I don't understand why he makes her pay anything, when he can clearly pay all the living expenses by himself. She should start charging for any work she does at home. I don't see the marriage surviving for too long at this rate.
