yamsham , in SPD Detective Under Investigation for Pulling Over Metro Bus Driver

Spoiler: The officer has been investigated at least twice before, once for assault and another for shooting an unarmed black man. In both cases it seems he was likely guilty of breaking the law but faced no consequences. I can’t imagine a more shocking turn of events

“controversial”. Jeez. Can’t wait to shift away from leaky methane.

SeaJ OP ,

Natural gas needs to be rebranded up “leaky methane.”

solarvector , in Controversial clean energy law takes effect in Washington

The controversy is that it might reduce profits on the short.

SeaJ OP ,

Inslee should announce a plan to ease PSE’s concerns of higher cost to their customers by offering major discounts on solar panels for those affected. I’m sure PSE would be happy with a plan like that considering how concerned they are for their customers.

SCL seems to be fine not using fossil fuels and maintaining a cheap rate. Shouldn’t a private company like PSE be more efficient? Or are the coal mines they own not so profitable?

specseaweed , in Seattle Police officer pulls over Metro driver, goes on power trip

Well that was somehow worse than I thought it would be.

It is difficult for me to square a need for law enforcement with the reality that the people doing it are often not the people you want doing it.

The old saying about how I’d never join a club that would have me seems apropos.

My councilperson is Rob Saka. His deep commitment to more cops being the answer strikes me as deeply unserious.

I read local and state news every damn day and this didn't make either of them. Thanks for sharing.

SeaJ OP ,

It popped up in my Ground News feed. I would definitely say they pull from diverse sources considering I have never heard of this one.

There were some 20th-century summers where Quillayute didn’t reach 80° F/27° C all year long.

Yeah I’m an '84 baby and recall some very mild summers I would wear a hoodie all spring/summer/fall.

Not much to do except enjoy the nice weather. If you don’t already have air conditioning or fans, maybe now is the time to buy before the rush?
