Star Trek Resurgence Giveaway ( startrek.website )

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing fine and are well prepared for the winter holidays!

We at Dramatic Labs want to sweeten the festive season a little and are therefore giving away a total of 10 copies of Star Trek Resurgence on a platform of your choice (PS4, PS5, Xbox or PC).

Star Trek: Resurgence is a narrative-driven adventure game created by former members of Telltale Games that delivers all the excitement and wonder of the Star Trek universe. Join the crew of the U.S.S. Resolute as first officer Jara Rydek and enlisted engineer Carter Diaz on a mission to prevent an eons-old and powerful force from engulfing everything in its wake!

To take part, you have to comment on which Star Trek games you grew up with and which one was your favourite. The 10 winners will be randomly selected and contacted by me. The giveaway will run until 21st December 23:59 CET.

Not strictly canon, but I have fond memories of Apple Trek on the Apple II. Growing up I played Star Trek 25th Anniversary and Klingon Honor Guard. More recently I got the PS3 game based on the Kelvin timeline movies. But my favourite to date has been Star Trek Bridge Crew, I’ve really enjoyed the immersion of it.

I spent the early 2000s playing Star Trek: Armada and Voyager: Elite Force. Pretty sure you can get them on GoG if you’re looking for nostalgia and a good night of gaming.

I grew up with Star Trek Elite Force 1 and 2, Starfleet Command: Orion Pirates, Armada 1 and 2, and Bridge Commander. All excellent games that I played many, many hours of.

Buck ,

Star Trek 25th for me, still love it

Star Trek Academy comes to mind… Best part was winning the Kobayashi Maru mission 😁

I think I bought it as a bundle with a bunch of other games… Generations and DS9 Harbinger.

Oh man, I would have to say Birth of the Federation, but I also love me some 25th Anniversary and A Final Unity. There was a stretch of some decent Star Trek games in the 90s!

Tumnus ,

I haven’t actually played a real Star Trek game, but I did play Artemis Space Bridge Simulator, and that seemed really close. Super fun game if you have enough people to play it!

Funny I never had much Star Trek gaming experience but have recently gotten into gaming more and been a lifelong Trek fan (maybe not an official Trekkie tho). this game looks pretty interesting and I’m now just learning about it since I also don’t pay attention to the epic store!

@Yannik

Is this game still exclusive to Epic?

Yannik OP ,

Hi! Yes, currently. We are heading to Steam in 2024. You can already wishlist the game here: store.steampowered.com/…/Star_Trek_Resurgence/

@Yannik @blaine Will it support Steam Deck?

EXPERIENCE BIJ!

But in all seriousness I enjoyed a bunch of Voyager: Elite force and have been getting into Birth of the Federation lately :)

bestnerd ,

Academy and Command were my favorite. I just bought all the old games on gog and can’t wait to relive it.

CodexArcanum ,

I liked the Elite Force games when I was a teen, but I grew up with and still love WinTrek! archive.org/details/win3_WinTrek

I had 25th Anniversary, Judgement Rites, TNG: A Final Unity, DS9: Harbinger, and Birth of the Federation as a kid, but never got much into any of them, TBH. I also played the Star Trek Customizable Card Game a little bit.

As an adult, however, I’ve been playing Star Trek Online for a decade now, so by any reasonable measure that’s my favorite Star Trek game by far (even if I’m not a fan of some of the perverse incentives it has, being an MMO).

cybervseas ,

I pleaded and got Star Trek: A Final Unity for my birthday one year. Even on my ancient Mac it was amazing. Like playing an episode of TNG.
