I’m actually really excited about this episode. There was a really cool toot on Mastodon about a line that Mariner said in the first season about sentient caves. They’re wondering if there’s some connection there and had a really cool theory about it.
In LD: “Second Contact”, Mariner says she was once trapped in a sentient cave for weeks: “You ever been trapped in a sentient cave? That’s a dark place that knows things.”
