Excellent coverage of the blindingly obvious.

That said, @tardigrada, going forward, please use the original source as the link. This allows us to determine what we’re walking into in a way that archive.org does not! I’ve updated the sidebar to clarify.

Apologies for being unclear. I’ve revised the sidebar to reflect the need to use the original source regardless of paywall.

Archive links make sourcing unclear as people browse new posts, so this makes for a better experience.

Well, we can do that, of course, but then most people won’t be able to access the source. Not sure whether this is really makes a better experience. But that’s just my opinion. (Just posted the original link ofvthis article in the comments as you might have seen.)

We’re still talking past each other. The archive link should be included, just in the body, not as the URL in the form.
