Sadly incidents like these are becoming way too common. I'm confident that people were shot today by police under the same premise. We just don't hear about every story. The reason this story gained so much traction is because of the person being pregnant. Otherwise most would have never known it happened.
It's all because they're not accountable for their actions. That needs to change one way or another.
I have a cousin who is a cop. He has been a cop for 5 years. He has shot the driver of the car in the exact same way on two separate occasions. One lived and charges were dropped, the other died. There are news stories about the incidents online but I won't share them because it would dox me. He never faced any consequences, not even time off while investigations took place. That's not the only people he has shot while wearing a badge. These are just the relevant incidents. He is still a cop.
