I understand the sentiment, but it is important for felons to be allowed to run for office. I would also say that the vast majority of them should be allowed to vote as well (I would only take that away in cases which involve acts against democracy, election interference, etc--which, incidentally, this was).
Sometimes the law is wrong. How many people are felons because they smoked pot, for example?
Look up China's 669 practice. South Korea is also known for having an especially brutal work culture. The two manage to make even Japan's work culture look almost reasonable by comparison (Japan famously requiring long hours and lifelong dedication to your employer).

People need to stop calling hydropower "green". It disrupts natural ecosystems, often to the detriment of local native peoples and species. Just because it's not pumping out huge amounts of greenhouse gases doesn't mean it's environmentally friendly.
