They were too far out for their tractor beam, because they missed due to the jump inaccuracy. The Breen dropped out of warp much closer to it, and were able to snag it with theirs.
On rewatch, I wonder if he was on the way to suggesting someone like Book when he was interrupted
Agree with this, it seemed like he was using Book for context, not for a real suggestion. Saru respects what Booker has done for everyone, but I don't think he's a real big fan of the guy, and certainly doesn't think he should be the XO of a Federation ship.
I’m not sure if there is or not, but it seems like there should be a way to link a post that links to it on whatever instance of Lemmy we’re on instead of hard linking to the main… hmmm
They were looking for clues to the attacks on the ships, playing the part of party girls to get in places they probably normally wouldn’t be able to. They went full into it when they got near T’Lyn
Collectively, each of the races in Star Trek have their own thing that they do. Individually, some lean more into it than others, but that’s the way they go, pretty much.
" … delinquents, pirates, slave traders." (DSC s1e15, although the same perception about Orions is held throughout Star Trek).
It seems that Orion culture internally looks down on those who want to be in the sciences, but it’s Tendi’s grandmother that shows the galaxy that they are not all just pirates. Some several years after DSC S1, in SNW S2.
