Study finds 1/4 of bosses hoped Return to Office would make staff quit ( www.theregister.com )

HR software biz BambooHR surveyed more than 1,500 employees, a third of whom work in HR. The findings suggest the return to office movement has been a poorly-executed failure, but one particular figure stands out - a quarter of executives and a fifth of HR professionals hoped RTO mandates would result in staff leaving....

I'm sorry but this seems very illogical. You're saying that, as a company thats fully remote, its easier to get the WHOLE COMPANY back into the office than it is to do the paperwork to remove a handful of bad employees, while risking losing some of your better employees??

This may be one of the better options if epoxy or something else doesn't work. I think a larger hardware store would have these.

Low Interest Loan Repayment or CD/HY Savings

Looking to pay off $15k of student loan debt of my partner. It’s something we could wipe out with cash on hand if we wanted to relatively quickly. But one of the loans is 4.5%. Am I better off just riding that out but keeping the cash in for that loan in a HY savings account or keep reinvesting it in short term CD’s that...

The difference is too minor in my opinion, in addition if interests rates begin to drop, that .5% gain may turn negative. I say focus on paying off the loan, while ensuring you have sufficient savings. As others have said, you will also have to pay taxes on what you gain if you stored your money so the .5% is basically nothing

No certain I agree 2 bedroom for minimum, but definitely getting a single bedroom or studio near where they work makes a whole lot of sense.

What gingeybook said, with the addendum, if there was an option to bring up minimum wage to allow that wage to rent a 2 bedroom i would totally vote for it over voting against it, because itd better than nothing for sure.

Habahnow ,

Good point. I’d kinda expect the government to help in that situation more.

Habahnow ,

I was imagining that in terms of tax breaks. The reason being you’re pay is not tied to the number of your children. If we say minimum wage is enough to cover 2 children, then people have a financial incentive and advantage if they don’t have children. Compare that to minimum wage addresses Mainly your own costs with tax breaks and credits helping to cover child costs.

Yeah it’s the rich that benefit from this, same if it happened to the US. The rich take longer to audit than the poor

Probably complicates things. If we’re taking into account the cheapness of Chinese tanks, maybe we need to evaluate the strength of American tanks and equipment vs Chinese equipment.

Spending seems like a better way to get an idea.

??? Infantry in Ukraine are able to easily take out tanks if they don’t come properly supported thanks to our anti tank munitions. This is something Russia didn’t anticipate or else they wanted have gotten so many tanks destroyed. That’s such a huge impact. Also, we haven’t even provided our newest planes to Ukraine, and still Ukraine pushed Russia back quite a bit. This war has shown how big of a difference US equipment is vs Russian.

Lol what? This single story counts as statistical evidence or something?

Can you offer investment advice? I'm debt-free, about to start earning $2k more per month than I need to survive. Please offer any suggestions for optimal investment method(s).

48 years old, currently have no investments. My net worth is my car and the clothes on my back, and I don’t ever want to be in this situation again....

Is it just me or is your us flow chart horrible and unreadable qualify? Downloading it or opening it in a new tap doesn’t allow me to read it at all. Tried on mobile brave and Mozilla browsers.
