HuddaBudda , to Work Reform in Dollar Stores: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

I am surprised those stores can stay open in that state. That looks like wall to wall cardboard and chemicals.

What happens if a fire breaks out?

My apologies, I am attempting to make a point of reference in relation to Donald Trump "point of view".

But, in hindsight, I can see how that might be out of context :|

He's trying to bash against his cage. Egoist like Trump do not like to be under anyone or be told to do anything.

I wish I could say it is like 4d chess or something, but no. There is nothing good that will come from him in prison.

He won't be able to talk to anyone. Speak to anyone. Travel. Golf. Fly in expensive jets. Share classified documents. Sex. Everything he does from breathing to pissing will be monitored 24/7.

Worse, it gets the US government in the habit of imprisoning someone like Mr. Trump.

Maybe he'll get a martyr complex, but even then, all that does is put him in an disadvantageous position to get his branding of message across, or to spin the narrative. He'd have to rely on his followers.... which is starting to become more slim fan-club by the day.

The difference being provable claims and speculation.

For example, I speculate that Biden appointed the french ambassador because she may have bought Hunter Biden's artwork.. But I can only speculate because I have no evidence to match my speculation.

I don't hate Trump, I even gave him the benefit of the doubt when he was first impeached. I sided with republicans and thought that was a bit out of character.

That being said. More evidence came out. One point doesn't draw a conclusion, but a bunch of dots start forming a line.

When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

He did it, and I wish he hadn't, but he did. No one that is innocent that is as rich as Donald Trump gets that close to prison without screwing up majorly.

On one end, I believe most of us can see the republican party is outright embarrassing this idea that they hurt the poor.

On the other hand, a leader is defined by his successes, not his failures. No matter how charismatic he might be. He is already clearing student debt in a different ways, So I am not counting him out yet.

But I also know the dangers of overpraising democrats for starting a project and not finishing it.

HuddaBudda , to Politics in Inflation is plummeting across America except in Ron DeSantis’ Florida
@HuddaBudda@kbin.social avatar

I certainly don't forget why that is.

Since taking office, DeSantis has given away $2 billion of taxpayer money in industry bailouts, while taking in $3.9 million in campaign donations from those same insurers. In addition, the governor has stripped Floridians of their ability to sue insurance giants who wrongfully deny claims by removing their ability to recover legal fees. Meanwhile, rate hikes, rubber stamped by the state, have nearly doubled average insurance costs, with homeowners now paying nearly three times the national average.

A few reasons. I've lived in Florida nearly all my life. Only thing I can warn people is that Florida changes more than the weather. Crime doesn't sleep but our government sure does. So we're usually the proving ground for crazy ideologies.

  1. People aren't moving to Florida, Cooperate money is.

Nearly 1.7 million homes in Florida have no occupants because companies can claim tax credits on empty homes they could not rent out for the year. So they can claim amazing returns from investments, and claim tax credits on their returns because they couldn't rent out the overpriced homes. It's government welfare for landlords.

  1. People are fleeing Florida

It's bad. how bad will take time to tell. The stores are closing down, the leasing signs are coming up, and people in charge are pretending that they are winning because DeSantis is on the ballot.
