Big chunks of Texas were under heat warnings this past week — with heat indexes hitting 115°F.

Reminder that Texas Gov. Abbott signed legislation that prohibits cities from mandating employers to provide workers with rest and water breaks.

This is the GOP's vision for America.

@rbreich he lost reelection (and I am 1,000% anti-trump). It was obvious after a few minutes, the hoarse voice, the hesitations, the confusions, the gaffes. I like Joe very much as an honorable man, but not as next potus. Time (too late) for DN to have another candidate!!!!!

@rbreich How many commandments has Trump broken? By Louisiana (which used to be La Nouvelle France until Napoleon I sold it on the cheap) new law Trump should not be eligible for POTUS. I actually am in awe of the hypocrisy because it's just nonsense to anyone with an IQ above 10.

Extend his tax cuts — which have made billionaires $2 trillion richer

Cut Social Security — which working people pay into for a lifetime

Would you like to keep your retirement money? Or would you like to gift it to billionaires?

That is your choice in 2024.

@rbreich That's why I don't trust governments (btw I'm French and it's not much better there). In the US Wall Street stooge Reagan introduced the WEP (in theory, FR-US SS convention I;m not subject to it, but claiming that will be difficult). In France they raised he minimum retirement age from 60 to 62 a decade ago, then again to 64 2 years ago. You just can't trust governments, they can renege on all their intro-generational contracts and other contracts. & not a damn thing you can do about it

@rbreich (besides being born with later a huge inheritance fro his father, of originally Drumpf german origins, Heil!, explains some stuff). Throwing paper towels into the puerto rican crowd after the hurricane+ Covid: it's isolated, no worry, then after near a million death, it's what it is ("you really think I give a shit?" was obvious in both cases)

@rbreich maybe a la Mussolini (sorry Benito, I just insulted you with that comparison) but certainly not a la Adolf Hitler, who had IQ and vision [evil to be sure] which Delirium Tremens' brain can't even begin to fathom. He's a clown. But the sad part is that he was eleceted POTUS in 2016 & may be again this year. So the real question is not "what is DT", it is "what are the American people"
