@arstechnica how did the show survive the torturously bad writing of the matt smith era? I’m watching it now and there’s physical pain from the endless parade of bad decisions
@arstechnica I’m sure the greens and cdu will have the fortitude to stand up and say this is on us when they can’t lean on french nuclear any longer and there’s no energy storage in place for solar and wind as an on-demand structural backbone
I don't think Trump even wants to be president again. He knows he wasn't good at it.
I believe he's running primarily in hopes of shutting down the prosecutions against him and avoiding prison or financial ruin as consequences of his own actions.
Clarence Thomas hearing Trump's immunity case, when his wife Ginni was directly involved in efforts to overturn the 2020 election, tells you everything you need to know about the Supreme Court's new code of "ethics."
4 years ago today, Dr. Fauci contradicted Trump's claim that Covid would magically go away before the fall. After that, Fauci was sidelined from public briefings & barred from speaking to press.
During the greatest national crisis of our time, all Trump cared about was his ego
@rbreich authoritarian with severe narcissistic personality disorder acting as if he’s an authoritarian with severe narcissistic personality disorder 😮
Remember: Most billionaires are not “self-made.” They’re made via a combination of inherited wealth, government subsidies, tax loopholes, labor exploitation, and policy failures. Can we stop perpetuating a myth that blames wealth inequality on the choices of everyday Americans?
@rbreich I think the average American is totes ready to deal with the truth about the element of luck in whether they die in a king sized bed in a penthouse or flearidden in a discarded dishwasher box
