Boeing shareholders approved a $33M pay package for CEO Dave Calhoun, despite the company's major safety problems — which Calhoun is testifying about before the Senate today.
Calhoun is resigning by year's end. Guess what he gets then?
Reminder that Trump is floating cuts to Social Security and Medicare — supposedly to address the debt — yet supports extending his tax cuts for the rich, adding $4.6 trillion to the deficit.
This isn't about the debt.
It’s about doing the bidding of his wealthy donors.

Does the average young person of today pay enough into SS to cover their own cost, given present parameters for employee/er tax rates, wages, benefit onset age and payout, and reasonable estimates for longevity?
Said differently, is the SS program setup to succeed as it is - if it gets funds to cover past under collection from the early decades of the program?
If not, what employee/er tax rate would make SS self-sustaining for an avg person? Set Medicare aside for now.
