I saw this and thought, well yeah that VP is right, cold calls are annoying spam. However, based on the insane comments by all the salespeople, you'd be wrong. Like, are salespeople that out of touch with normal people?
Yup, in the sales world it's accepted truth that you have to cold call. That said, in my sales position I've just switched to personalized email outreach for first contact and if anyone asks, oh of course I'm making calls. That probably only works in certain applications, but I'm making the numbers I need to.
Lol yeah, this will definitely be a net loss in productivity.
It is lame as a children's activity, but I could see some novelty in it, it's sort of like those Mr Rogers segments where they go behind the scenes at a factory.
Not really a beach this time, just volcanic rocks that form natural pools. I tried to work in the feedback I got on the last post and took a lot of time with trying out compositions on this one. Still didn't figure out the topic of a good subject though
I doubt the guy needs a private jet, but the company only made like $800k last year, the rest of the company’s expenses were like $250 mil. For a startup I would guess they’d argue they’re in the pre revenue phase.
Lyft and Uber said they will cease operations in Minneapolis after the city’s council voted Thursday to override a mayoral veto and require that ride-hailing services increase driver wages to the equivalent of the local minimum wage of $15.57 an hour....
I hope they get something similar to the Driver’s Cooperative, which is like Uber/Lyft but owned but the drivers themselves. Right now though my understanding is they’re only in NYC/Denver.
I don’t see much benefit of a fork being a member coop, since the product is already free. I could potentially see a worker coop - if this fork was intended to make a profit, and the people working on it are then incentivized to improve the product because they’ll personally benefit, then maybe we’d see more movement and innovation.
