i’m surprised that there aren’t more cosplay entertainment dining experiences. i’d love to dip my toes into some cultural microcosm with enthusiastic guides for a few hours. wheres the 1980s philadelphia breakdancing and graffiti street party bbq cookout restaurant? wheres the 1960s sci fi syd mead scene with analog electronic music and fluorescent flooring with french organic furniture?
situational awareness. humans instinctually need to feel safe. sleeping with your head right by the door gives you the least amount of reaction time/space to stave off invasion. inagine a rabbit sleeping with its nose out of a rabbit hole. in modern times with modern locks and security, its not a big consideration to be faie. but the instinct is there. people like headboards on beds for the same cavelike feelibg of protection. so yea head away from the door, bed not by the door. windows used to be avoided for being drafty or leaking light.
the major banks publicly having major concerns about their portfolio of commercial mortgage backed securities says you’re wrong right now. its too soon to call this one. hundreds of billions are on the line, and so are the work/life balances of a rising generation of workers who don’t believe what the baby boomers did.
well it helps the book value as an asset but it hurts the available cash and the liquidity of assets and the return on assets although the depreciation is a big write off. its not a great use for most companies to sit on brick and mortar that aren’t generating revenue. but whats the point of having a high floor corner office if nobody is around to pretend to care?
i guess if you had some super crazy distant probe observing the black home and it’s memory bits were quantum entangled with a receiver device near us, we might know instantly-ish? but would need to wait millions of years for that probe to be placed to begin with and hope the systems don’t corrode or corrupt or fail in those millions of years. and what would you do with the info? tell everyone?
