Students painted the Advocacy and Spirit walls on Monday night with the Palestinian flag and messages that included “I dream of breaking the siege,” “Come together in peace” and the number of Palestinian children killed in Gaza since war between Israel and Hamas broke out in October.
Early Tuesday morning, contractors hired by the college were ordered to paint over the walls because the administration said the messaging was “threatening, intimidating and antisemitic,” according to an email from Eric Kaler, Case’s president.
Yup calling for peace is apparently antisemitism. 🙄
In a statement Wednesday, Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb and the city’s police chief, Annie Todd, urged Kaler and his administration to think of the students’ rights.
“We support 1st Amendment rights and implore CWRU leadership to consider this and think about how the decisions they make and the actions they take – especially against those who are abiding by the law – will influence some of the progress we have collectively made as a city. At the same time, we urge individuals to demonstrate peacefully,” Bibb and Todd said.
Boebert has repeatedly said she “will not allow dark money” to “steal this seat.” She echoed that sentiment in the recent interview, again reiterating that her opponents are being funded by Hollywood.
“It’s coming from Hollywood when you have Barbra Streisand coming in and donating to the Democrat, when you have Ryan Reynolds coming in and donating to the Democrat,” she said. “It shows you that Hollywood is trying to buy their way into Congress.
If you know who is donating to your rival’s campaign, then it is not dark money. I don’t expect her to understand the difference, obviously.

Yeah no. A concentration camp does not need to be a carbon copy of what the Nazi’s did for it to be called one. This is not antisemitism. Israel can be criticized based on policy and military action. It’s an apartheid state anyway. Palestine has a right to exist, it’s ridiculous that these people are considered stateless. It’s shameful that the powers-that-be intend to continue to prop Israel up regardless of the inhumane treatment of those they oppress.
I like to imagine he has a serious sharpie problem. He’s completely hooked on sniffing sharpies all day long. It starts with a one-pack, and before you know it, you’re getting bulk discounts by pretending to work in academia. The feeling when you twist off the cap of a new sharpie? Can’t be beat.
