Once again, I just want to say that lavish gifts to Supreme Court justices shouldn’t just be “disclosed.” They should be banned, outright. This should not be a radical position.

We shouldn’t be at all surprised given they just rules that “gratuities” given after the fact aren’t considered bribes and are not illegal anymore.

John Deere has laid off roughly 1000 workers so far this year.

But the company reported a profit of over $10 billion in 2023.

Its CEO received $26.7 million in total compensation.

And it spent over $7 billion on stock buybacks.

Textbook corporate greed.

Just as Bob Iger laid off over 7,000 employees in 2023 despite bragging about reporting over $28 billion in profit in 2022.

Iger did buy back $1 billion in 2024 and pledged $3 billion more.

Purely coincidentally, Iger received a massive raise, a contract extension, and is buying a 2nd mega yacht.

In the years after Trump's tax cuts, S&P 500 corporations spent $2.72 trillion on stock buybacks to enrich wealthy shareholders. That's more than what they spent on investments in plants and technology to boost production and create jobs. So much for trickling down, huh?

Corporations seem only to exist now to pander to a handful of filthy rich Wall Street investors, it's not about business, it's not about the brand or the product, everything they do is a stunt to raise stock prices and cash in.

The Supreme Court just overturned a federal ban on bump stocks, the device that let the Las Vegas shooter injure more than 500 people and kill 60 within minutes.

80% of Americans supported the ban — even Trump!

SCOTUS has once again defied the will of the people.

A new study found the economic costs of the crisis are 6x larger than previously thought. It's estimated we'll lose 12% of world GDP per degree of warming.

Saving the climate is both morally & financially right.

In his speech to the NRA, Trump yet again suggested he might serve more than two terms.

The 22nd Amendment bars that, but if the 14th Amendment didn't apply to him, why should any others?

If Trump wins, do you believe he will leave office at the end of a second term?

If the manages to seize power (losing the election is moot as they will refuse to accept the results again) will only leave in a coffin and will be replaced by his chosen successor (Baron, likely, unless Ivanka gets back on the daddy program).
