Good. Every city should refuse to publicly fund these projects, they have never delivered even a fraction of the benefits they claim to. If pro sports leagues just got told by every city worth a damn to pay their own way, things would be marginally better in this country.

Dealing with the “holidays are for family” trope when I don’t talk to my parents or sister and only get a limited amount of time with my kids. (I have a great relationship with my ex, the limited time is due to not being able to afford a large enough residence to have my kids stay with me regularly.) Seasonal affective disorder. The hyper-consumerist holiday sharpening the usual distress of living under a capitalist regime.
If they’re not public already they don’t have shareholders as that term is typically used. They may have investors who are forcing them to go public because they don’t want a simple loan payback, they want the bonanza of an ipo.
This doesn’t mention one of the big wins from the WGA strike: transparency from the streamers on what people are watching. It’s part of the residuals win, but transparency is huge on its own.
