A stingray’s sex can be determined fairly easily based on the presence or absence of claspers, two “penises” connected to the inside of the pelvic fins of male rays. They are usually about the size of your pinky finger on mature specimens and are rolled up into hollow tubes.
It’s really funny because in Ukrainian and Russian, saying “my little fly agaric” is cute and loving, which is exactly what her owner said on insta since the dog is wearing a sweater with a fly agaric on it. But I don’t think that translates well to English…
