Ive had 4 masto profiles. Instance admins tend to lean neoliberal or right-wing, and I havent found my "home" profile yet, so this will be it until I find something better. Medically vulnerable family here, sheltering in place for over 4 years so far. Science-literate, history and politics-literate, and not interested in "america first" propaganda.

I'm also on Climatejustice.social and the mastodon dot social instance, for now. Just trying to find home.

We're now in the 27th consecutive month of unemployment below 4%. We haven't seen this since the 1960s. This is what can happen when you fight back against trickle-down economic nonsense and invest in American workers.

UNDER-EMPLOYMENT, Rob, vs UNEMPLOYMENT. Unemployment is calculated based on CLAIMS FILED that quarter. When they stop coming, unemployment is down, right? Wrong.

UNDER-EMPLOYMENT - people who cant find work, have given up, are outside the workforce is higher than ever! Nearly 1m people living in tents, and rising daily!

I'm not saying we shouldn't worry about how China might be using TikTok to steal our data and manipulate us...

But why aren't we at least as worried about the U.S. billionaires who own the other apps stealing our data and trying to manipulate us?

@rbreich I would rather the chinese communists have my data than the globe-spanning, endlessly warring US capitalist empire and its 1000s of forward military bases, globe spanning CIA/intelligence apparatus, and its forever increasing, bloated "defense" budgets that always seem to wind up used for offense.

Fuck this analysis. Its time to stop being a capitalist pig and put your feet back on the ground. We all share this earth, it does not belong to the US.

@arstechnica ohnoes has anyone found the WMDs that did this??? Sorry not WMDs, I meant the Russian/Chinese/Palestinian/DPRK/Syrian/unabsorbed nation hackers who we know with certainty are responsible for this grave attack on the beating heart of America? Cisco should lobby the US government to go to war with anyone who doesn't do business with Cisco.
