KDE was a huge part of my life for well over a decade, from when I first installed a v1 beta, to when I got my CVS commit rights circa 2000, to coding and organizing events all the way through 2010. Eventually, though, my life went a different direction....
Mandrake introduced me to it. I think I moved over from fvwm, so the difference was huge.
I stuck around until KDE4 - At which point I couldn’t get it to run for long without crashing. That and I think the Amorok guys started phoning it in. Many years of DE/WM hopping finally ended with 5.21. The wait was worth it!
If I’m on an X11 session, when I drag any file or program icon, be it in the desktop or the file manager, the icon always lags behind cursor; it freezes in its place until the cursor stops moving, then moves there. Is there a way to fix this?...
Today I did a very sad thing
