That's how it always has worked, the working class isnt exactly know for seeing through propaganda. This is also the reason why in the US, the Republican party works so hard to destroy education. Dumb people are easier to control, easier to lie to, easier to suppress.
Don't say it ain't so, this shit is right now happening with Trump, and large swathes of the working class are lapping up his lies as if it were caviar, even though Trump is the very prime target they should direct their anger to.
If Trump wins then that's it, for the world, really. The US will convert to a theocratic dictatorship, ruled by religious doomsday nuts with nukes. Trump is, as usual, the puppet of Putin, so do expect the US not only to withdraw from Europe, I fully expect him to actively help Russia to conquer more parts of Europe than the USSR ever had.

Keep in mind there that the Russian population is literally 10 times bigger than the Netherlands, and that the territory size (which they need to defend and all) is over 400 times bigger.

Everything about ST Picard is trash. Dialogue, script, Character behavior, 50 years of fransche history ignored, it was all written and executed by people who don’t like star Trek, cast excluded though I just don’t understand why any of the vast was on board with this turd. We’re they so desperate for money?
Yeah, heard all that a hundred times about the shit movies, about discovery and Picard (but this season, I swear, it’s great!) and none of it had anything to do with star trek, was not made by people who know and love star trek and I’m done with it. Not wasting my time anymore
Discovery had no merits beyond glorifying space Jesus who was so much better than Spock? It was trash, and if possible, Picard was even worse. Absolute garbage written and produced by people who self professedly didn’t know star trek, had no interest in making star trek, and wanting to use the platform to push through their political views. How anyone ever even expected any of that shit to be any good is beyond me.

On the comment of Picard “being put in his place by a woman”: I have no problem with female leaders. Admiral Nechayev was nice, Janeway could have been so much more… The problem is that the nu trek show runners on multiple occasions talked about their… Political leanings and literally said that they don’t care about trek, don’t care what it was and literally that trek is their political platform, and it shows.
It’s not about that Picard gets dressed down by a woman, it’s about that women suddenly are all can’t-do-wrong Mary sues whereas the men are all bumbling no-goods. Also notice that women mostly behave like on-my-high-horse assholes. Again, “sheer fucking hubris” kinda says it all. Can you imagine any Admiral saying THAT in TNG/DS9?
Not to mention the graphic violence. “But it happened that one time in TNG too!”. Yeah, there is this one crazy episode there amongst hundreds whereas nutrek just had your daily dose of violence. I’ll watch “the boys” for that (I do recommend if you’re into dark humor)
