I've had bad experiances. Started the pc on mint with cinimon, but that had some issues so I installed xfce and plasma to see if another environment may work. Xfce worked like a dream but plasma was quite laggy.
I'd say plasma has similar or possibly mildly better performance than win10. Any time I put it on older hardware it seems to bog it down quite a bit
The issue is that this data can be used to fingerprint or de-anonomize users. Even if it's just a big list of statistics, knowing how likely or unlikely a system change, setting change, version, etc. is can help greatly with a person looking to pin down users. They'll know how likely a person with a specific pattern is the same person.
I'm glad it's not distributed. If it was, I'd slide it all the way back to 0. Good intentions from the collectors doesn't stop bad intentions of consumers
I know it’s so strange! I’d feel bad for the mother if I didn’t know they were built for that, and the quills were soft for the first few hours before they harden and sharpen.
I love the little hedge puppies, they kinda look like pugs for the first little while. My father has a small breeding and rescue thing and every time there’s a batch I’m right there.
Ypu’de think it’d get old after a while, but it doesn’t
This ones very, very young though. I’m suprised they were able to get to it
That they are, spikes and all. Interestingly though the spikes are soft and blunt when born but quickly harden a bit after birth so the mother isn’t birthing a ball of nails, more like a ball covered in gummy works that then stiffen, harden, and sharpen after birth
Disable Search Indexing in options. It uses a buggy piece of garbage called Akonadi in the background and was causing one core of my CPU to stay at 100% for no reason.
True, it’s still quite bad though on older hardware and I’d suggest those with it to turn it off. Not as bad as akonadi though in my experiance. Still let it run on my main pc though as I have the resources to waste
How fast is Plasma on old hardware?
I have a very cool Core 2 Duo laptop here that runs Linux Mint....
