Tesla shareholder group opposes Musk’s $46B pay, slams board “dysfunction”

Letter urges shareholders to reject CEO pay plan and boot two board members.

@arstechnica I'm morbidly curious what would happen to Tesla if they tried to be a real car company rather than the backdrop for a carnival barker.

I suspect the answer is just what the board seems to think it is. Without Musk's hype-distortion field, they'd lose 70% of their share price.

Would definitely be a better company, though.

Hey! Listen! New Minecraft AI guide offers tips while watching you play

Microsoft demo is like chatting with GameFAQs when you don't have a friend to hang with.

@arstechnica All "AI" demos are contrived to the point of being outright fabulations.

I'm not saying there is no chance that this feature wont actually make it into production. (MS is clearly pressing hard to add "AI" to everything.)

But, and I'm just saying, the odds that your cute and totally superfluous Minecraft chatbot will also decide to teach some little Billy or Jane how to curse and where to find porn on the internet are approaching 100%.

@arstechnica If you take their statements about LLM at face value, it's hard to decipher what exactly it is they're using customer data for.

The good news, I guess, is that they are not training a new LLM to compete with OpenAI/Google.

So... uh... phew?

The bad news is that they're doing something altogether bizarre with ML centered on... emoticons?

@arstechnica Tesla innovated by giving drivers a giant computer monitor in the center of the console.

But Sony knows that what drivers truly need is a extremely wide and short monitor that runs the entire width of the vehicle.
