Kbin just has the best frontpage honestly, content wise and UI wise.

Sorry for your loss, dogs are truly the best and it sucks to lose them. I hope mine goes overnight randomly sometime, I'd hate to have to do that vet visit.

To whomever made Dolphin's "Extract here, autodetect subfolder" feature - I love you ( outpost.zeuslink.net )

I hope this doesn’t violate the low-quality rule. For those who don’t know, when you right click an archive in Dolphin, the extract menu has a “Extract archive here, autodetect subfolder” option and its absolutely brilliant! If you’ve ever extracted a zip, tar, etc and ended up with files splattered everywhere this...

I hate when archives are just a folder inside, now I gotta manually move the files up a level into the directory I wanted them in the first place.

I see this feature is for when there is no folder inside. I come across this a lot less personally.

verysoft ,

Ahaha yeah, it'd be fine if it was always either way for me, but I personally prefer setting my folder up and then extract the archive into there, so I don't have to rename it or whatever after extracting. So I would rather it have all the files in the top of the archive and not in a folder.

News and updates from specific companies/projects/people.

How people always fail to see the usefulness of the platform amazes me. There is nothing else like it for that purpose, moving elsewhere is difficult if all the accounts you are interested in are not also moving there.

Its definitely a lot worse now, but at its peak twitter algorithm worked pretty well, not that I ever used it, always did the standard chronological, but I wasn't following 100s of accounts anyway.

Had to setup RSS again now, but its not the same as it used to be, harder to find decent blogs with the news/updates I want that support RSS.

verysoft ,

Then that's great for you. Setup RSS and you are away.

But not everyone has their own website/blog and they use twitter instead.

RIF is also still working

(logout if it doesnt, i've never personally used it logged in)
