new build, rock filled yard.
Hey all!...
Hey all!...
I’m looking for sci-fi books that are (partially or fully) about environmentalism, preserving nature or the consequences of not doing so.
I am looking for a simple tool that I can monitor available bandwidth on my 3 different ISPs in real time. Not what is being used, but what is available…like a speed test, but one that can show historical data. I have PRTG but that shows what is being used. I also do not want it to constant speed tests, that would take up...
I’m still on Goodreads but it’s so slow, the app’s just an even slower webview of the site and the redesign has made me have to click more to do what I want....
What do you all use TrueNAS for? I’d love to hear how it’s being used in other peoples systems!...
Since the embargo came off early Monday, many reviews are out based on the first six episode screeners....
Our old cheap toilet you can’t get parts for anymore (dual flush). I remember my dad fixing old singl-flush toilets with just standard parts from the hardware store. But these new dual-flush toilets are super proprietary. Are single-flush toilets more standardized to where I would be able to easily find parts? I am thinking...

/r/Frasier was one of my favorite communities on Reddit. I don’t think the demographic of Frasier watchers and Lemmy users is going to overlap a ton, but I figured this space could be a safe refuge for those who are interested in both federated and frasier-ated communities....
There’s a thread about how people find new books, and one of my favorite ways to find things to read was browsing comments from the weekly ‘What are you reading’ threads in r/truelit and r/books. So what is Lemmy reading?...

Myself personally I get most of my reading done on my 45 minute commute to work on the bus/train. I also enjoy reading in the mornings on weekends and occasionally in the evening on weekdays....
They are analog roller shades. I feel like it could be a decent project but my budget isn’t great, so i do want to know if that is something worth DIYing or not. Also I wouldn’t know what micro controller to use....
Hello everyone, I realised we don’t really have an introductory or meta thread for this community, and I thought it might be wise to create one....
I am a PSE for a large corporation that most people would not be familiar with (those users that frequent this sub probably would). However, we supply business critical software to many of the big companies you definitely do know. This puts me in a position where I work directly with some of the most well paid ‘tech execs’...
How are folks using the decidedly beta Mlem doing?...
I was investigating why is one of the air vents so loud when AC is running. Turned out the air duct is not actually behind the vent, but to the side of it....
Will there be the division as on Reddon’t?
I have a few servers without offsite backups. Luckily I just acquired a new physical location that allows me the opportunity to run a fully self-owned backup server....
Getting us started! :)...
Often the subject of disagreement, Voyager is talked about poorly by some and praised by others. Seeing plenty of posts about it here. Well ya know - I think Voyager is underrated....
As of this moment, the instance has 108 official users, by Lemmy’s metrics. In terms of subscribers:...
I have watched every film and every episode of every series of Star Trek. It was glorious, the only thing I didn’t really enjoy was the animated series....
