There were years there when any watermark from another site would get OP lynched in the comments, and now Admin over there is sufficiently out of touch they're going to start doing it to their own content.
Bets are on that this is a stupid kneejerk test from Reddit, worried that post-migration community hubs are going to "profit from their content" the same way Reddit did to places like ifunny or 9gag during it's entire growth arc.
So the admins that were okay with u/awkwardtheturtle being a powermod are now just all of a sudden serious about quickly enforcing rules against protesting mods?
White pine is terrible for burning so I’d not do firewood myself.
Lots of knots and compression wood with that grow type. Too many knots for anything structural and you may not even get enough clear spans without cracks at the compression lines to do a decent bench even.
You’ll get some serious warp and cupping even with it being kiln dried, air dry will be a bit of a nightmare. I think my milk would just chip something like this.
If it’s sentimental use I’d probably disc it to make rustic end tables or set them in dirt for a lawn path. The other option I can think of would be to rough it into 6x6 ish chunks up to 3 feet long. Chuck it in your attic for a year. Then learn wood carving and make a bird or something.
Picture taken through a Viltrox 35mm 1.8f on a Sony A7-C then edited with Snapseed on my phone. I enjoyed taking and editing it, hope you's enjoy looking at it!
Constructive criticism is welcomed!
i have a question in mind: are ddos attacks really cheap ? i mean attacking lemmy.world only is kinda pointless, rest of instances need to be attacked too if they want lemmy down, but i am no expert on this subject, so just asking :/
