@georgetakei When I lived in New Britain, Connecticut, in New England, someone who saw one of my letters in a comic book's letter page wrote to me under the impression I lived in the British Isles.

I gave away an old 53" rear projection TV on Craigslist 15 years ago. The TV was close to 5'x5'x2', which was clear in the pictures of it. After six or eight emails back and forth, the person asked me if it would fit in their car. They told me they had a Camry. I said sure, I have a sawzall, we can get it in there! They never showed up.

@georgetakei I love it when little kids ask questions that everyone should know. This is how they find out. When teenagers ask these kinds of questions I worry about them a bit that I never make fun of it, cuz if you want to teach them anything you have to maintain their trust. When adults ask things like this it just scares me! Like, dude, were You raised on a different planet or in a cave?

In not surprised... - I was a German exchange student in Texas and I was asked whether I had taken the train from Europe.

@georgetakei Probably. Even smart people can have dumb moments. And then there are the people who know a few things really well and are really vague on everything else.
