Remember: The real freeloaders in this country are the rich, not the poor.

The richest 1% evade $163 billion in taxes every year.

The United States literally has a yacht tax deduction.

@rbreich damn dude, I’m sure glad you fixed all that when you were secretary of labour

@rbreich The UK is no different. The people in power are amongst the wealthiest in the country, they have no idea what its like to struggle to keep food on the table and pay bills, and I doubt they really care. Unfortunately the position parties are no better and promise little change if they get into power.

We got a waaaay late 1099 2 weeks ago and had to amend and pay $135.
Suck it, Elon.
Guess we’re suckers like T-Daddy says, except we’re still not going to court about it.

@rbreich and yet we got rid of the deduction for moving for a job 😡

@rbreich I think you have to charter the yacht to get those deductions ("active yacht ownership")

But, in the 90s there was a luxury tax on such things. But Clinton dropped at the behest of the luxury yacht companies.

Left v right is a crock. It's rich v the rest.

@rbreich could I possibly reassess my desert home as a "yacht"? Taxes were a bit higher than expected this year. So was inflation...
