@rbreich Yes. I am reminded of Galations 5:22-23: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." and literally on the armour of God: Ephesians 6:15: "and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace." Sigh.
@rbreich
The American people should act more like the french people.
Burn the templars.
Kill popes and god's given kings.
Prevent religions to handle their politics, social life, and laws.
Just sayin'.
@rbreich
Curious if you have read the book by Bradley Onishi "Preparing for War"...
Great book that talks about this exactly. Mixing religion with politics and then using the language of violence because "we have God on our side". Of course it's all a bunch of bullshit.
@rbreich Not to miss the larger point, but wouldn't you expect those wrapping themselves in the flag to choose a USA-made handgun such as a Colt over an Austrian brand like Glock?
The printed-in-black-and-white, near-daily calls to violence by elected, and unelected but ever-present, actual Republican party members and leaders seem to belie the increasing news stories decrying those GOPers’ actual calls to start a nation-war by shifting blame outside the country to troll farms, seem more and more like intentional distraction and diffuse attempts.
The GOP wants to kill you, for their god, if you’re not with them. Bottom line.
@rbreich I visited Berchtesgaden in Bavaria a few years ago. In one of the town squares there was a mural showing the crucifixion, with Nazi soldiers at the foot of the cross. Weird but not dissimilar from christo-nationalism.
