@arstechnica In a dystopian future, neuralink patients will "dream" with targeted ads, and when he is in a nearby neuralink clients, he will sense a compelling will to buy a product or visit determined stores.

They will be able to install adblockers and stop telemetry at all?

@arstechnica I hope the test subjects are being paid extremely well. I get the feeling they're just Musk devotees that are excited enough to be fooled into brain surgery though.

@arstechnica

Being a "beta male" is taking on a whole new meaning when you are just a test subject for some company.

@arstechnica Have they released any information yet about their implants being able to do anything other than control a mouse cursor?

Controlling a mouse cursor with your mind has been possible for decades now, without implanting anything, so even if their implants are safe and effective, they'd need to do a lot more to really be impressive.

@arstechnica A huge "nuh uh" for me. I think this is finally my "I'm getting old" tech.

@arstechnica I guess the 1st patient goes in the bin then?
