@arstechnica No mention of LFTR technology, which already works, uses abundant fuel, creates nearly zero waste and cannot melt down. Hopefully this tech becomes part of the program at some point.

@arstechnica Nuclear is incompatible with a flexible distributed grid. If we want a 100%-plus renewably powered grid, it must be flexible, distributed, & close to the loads it serves. An inflexible, central-station grid is 20th century technology. Coal, gas, & nukes are buggywhip tech. The ubiquitous nature of renewable energy resources argues for a decentralized--locally owned--energy grid. And it's unethical for humanity to leave behind ultratoxic waste that last thousands of years. Duh... o_0
