@arstechnica We presently have a Tesla - one with a squeaking front suspension due to a badly designed ball joint on the front wheels (the joint corrodes due to water leakage into the joint - a problem solved for decades on other brands of automobiles.)
We realize that buying an EV is really buying into a charging network, and Tesla's is by far the best charge network.
However, that will change.
We like Polestar - we invested in the company. (The stock is not doing well, however.)
Yeah, infotainment is nice - but anyone who thinks that it can be even close to the experience of a good home system is ignoring the facts of highway noise and the need for a driver to be able to hear things like sirens and horns. (I largely drive a convertible with the top down, so I know road noise in an extreme way.)
