Lots of greed in the rental market as well. When Donnie was in office real estate was being bought and sold like hotcakes. And each time a rental property gets sold, the rent goes up. And the quality of life goes down...

Curious if you have read the book by Bradley Onishi "Preparing for War"...
Great book that talks about this exactly. Mixing religion with politics and then using the language of violence because "we have God on our side". Of course it's all a bunch of bullshit.
For the 7th time this year, MAGA extremists killed the GOP’s own bill by voting no on the “rule” to advance it. This time it was a renewal of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act—all because Trump wrongly claimed it was used against his campaign. The GOP is pure dysfunction.

I am housing insecure at the moment and that is even worse. I have enough money but will have to move soon and need to deal with the possibility of slumlords, the possibility of bad management, the issue of just finding and getting into a place...
I have an excellent rental history and excellent credit as well. But then I run into things like online applications where they want $53 from a credit card. I don't do credit cards. So that becomes a roadblock. It's stupid. Give me a chance.

And of course, it is the wealthy who own those buildings. People who don't even live in your city but they want your money. And management is always a shortcut so profits can be greater. The heat stays on when it is 80 outside. You tell them and they say that "you complain too much"... That one actually happened...
I'm just a guy who goes to work and then pays his bills.
