Obviously brushing a horse is an unusual and fun experience, but that guy is right that they're the same amount of exploration. Kids want to play pretend at a restaurant. It's fun. Didn't your school do an "enterprise village" type field trip where you all play act grown up jobs for a day? It's fun!

This is not exploration. The children are not providing anything of value period, except perhaps good will towards the brand in the future.

We have a Bradenton nearby which gets shortened to branton (pronounced like brain-nton). Gotta have the long A or else you'll accidently send someone half an hour away to Brandon.

Are you the alien? Nobody calls a potato for eating hot potato... If you're eating a potato it's going to be hot. Hot potato is referring to the game where you pass something along very quickly. It's saying you're all passing something along that no one wants to get caught with or stuck with, and it's almost never literally, it's usually taking about a responsibility being passed or something like that.

But also, we’re not talking about dating, we’re talking about sex, and women are the definite underdogs when it comes to sex, or at least casual sex. The stats on who gets to orgasm through casual sex are just abysmal for heterosexual women… Maybe we all would benefit from sex columns for men more than we’d like to admit.

The amount of false info around, " it’s just much harder for women to orgasm" and " a lot of women simply cannot orgasm no matter what" is pretty easily disproven by orgasm rates in homosexual female couples, which leads me to believe it’s the men in the equation that lead to women having trouble orgasming, not some inevitability.

And this is all women are clear underdogs in sex before you even touch on the difference in dangers to men v women with sex /sexual violence/ coersion

Your grocery prices have gone back down?? I’m not seeing that in my area. Groceries, eating out, and services are all still way up! Plus you say rent doubled like that’s no big deal. We’ve cut all luxeries ( I am counting preferred groceries and cleaning products as luxeries, anything above that is long since cut). It feels financially irresponsible to buy a friend a birthday gift. We are nowhere close to where we were in 2019.

But imagine how unhappy you’d be if you were in all your same unhappiness circumstances but then your shoes have holes in them. Or your front tooth chips and you can’t afford to fix it and now everyone treats you just slightly worse.

Happiness comes from within only after your basic needs are met. I don’t care how Zen and optimistic you are. At a certain point chronic hunger makes it too hard to feel happy.

I think some of the issues people are having is that it’s not clear where there is a reasonable expectation to tip. Sit down restaurant, yes. Hair dresser, yes. Dunkin donuts? They just turned around and gave me something that was already made. Do I need to tip on that? A pickup order? It seems like yes, but when I get Uber eats, I’m only tipping the driver, and that’s still a pickup order. The convenience store where I bring everything I want up to the counter? Because the tipping prompt comes up there. I’m not sure where there is a reasonable expectation anymore and it’s making me feel less financially able to be generous overall.
