Project 2025, Truth Social rants, Day one abuse of power claims... You know, I'm starting to think this so-called Orange Jesus is a bad guy!

The real question I have about this... Does she hate him enough to be the first one to flip in the Georgia RICO case?

Now, I am on the can we ban Threads train, I wasn't at first because they hadn't gotten involved in actually joining the rest of us, now they are and they've admitted they want all our information too, I just don't want any part of that.

[News] House Judiciary Committee expected to launch inquiry into Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis ( www.cnn.com )

For anyone playing along, CNN reports the House Committee has sent a letter demanding documents about the case.

House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan sent Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis a letter requesting a slew of documents by September 7, confirming CNN’s exclusive reporting that the panel was opening an investigation into Willis.

In the letter, Jordan lays out why he believes his panel has jurisdiction over Willis’ probe and accuses Willis of being politically motivated.

“Your indictment and prosecution implicate substantial federal interests, and the circumstances surrounding your actions raise serious concerns about whether they are politically motivated,” Jordan writes.

Polling shows they have pretty much no hope of getting the nomination from Donald, so they are running for Veep. I really do expect the "debate" to be a circus of who can out Donald the Donald and prove their worthiness to be on the ticket with him.

[Opinion - Legal Analysis] The Constitution bars Trump from holding public office ever again - Donald K. Sherman ( thehill.com )

While some on the right portray accountability for the Jan. 6 Capitol riot as just another partisan dispute, two prominent conservative legal scholars have made the case that the Constitution disqualifies former President Trump from public office....

I'm torn on the originalism concept, I lean towards it as the intent but not necessarily a good way to function. Why I lean that way is because the constitution has a built-in clause on how to change it, if it was living and breathing then why would we have included the process to change it and make amendments?

I do find that so-called originalist members of the Senate that love the filibuster to be hypocritical considering it was a loophole and not an original part of the government. Of course that is a whole other can of worms.

I mean swimming pools don't just happen to drain into the security room by accident.

Mastodon also doesn't feed you content from my understanding, you have to curate your feed yourself, and a lot of people don't mind the algorithm of places like TwitterX and Facebook feeding them random stuff.

Democrats urge US Supreme Court ethics reform as panel set to vote ( www.reuters.com )

Democrats on Thursday sought to make the case for legislation to mandate a binding ethics code for the U.S. Supreme Court after revelations that some conservative justices failed to disclose luxury trips and real estate transactions, with a Senate panel set to vote on the measure.

Why would the Supremes not just rule it unconstitutional because it's one branch interfering with another? It sounds good but it's probably not going anywhere.

What function could Meta possibly need for this? Why would Instagram/Threads (Same policy it looks like) need your Credit Score? WTF?

I'd only touch this if the team behind Instander made an app for Threads and I'd still use fake info.
