Florida pension funds under DeSantis also took a bath because they invested in Russia, and because DeSantis gave control of Florida's pension funds to managers who donated to his campaign. Still they're using this as an excuse to push their culture war.

The modern GOP, it's corruption all the way down.

DeSantis calls for state investment manager to consider action against Bud Light's parent company ( edition.cnn.com )

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is urging the state’s pension fund manager to consider legal action against Bud Light’s parent company amid conservative backlash to the beermaker’s recent marketing efforts, the latest attempt by the Republican presidential candidate to inject himself and the state he runs into the country’s...

I’m honestly surprised people are protecting still after the blackouts ended. Good on them

If you went along with the crowd, it is not they, it is WE, who are the problem.

Republican senators say they are alarmed at how many Republicans, including those with higher levels of education and income, buy the unsubstantiated claims that the last presidential election was stolen.

A second Republican senator who spoke with The Hill said the growing strength of radical populism “makes it a lot more difficult to govern, it makes it difficult to talk to constituents.”

“There are people who surprise me — I’m surprised they have those views. It’s amazing to me the number of people, the kind of people who think the election was stolen,” the lawmaker said. “I don’t want to use this word but it’s not just a ‘red-neck’ thing. It’s people in business, the president of a bank, a doctor.”

How far up your ass does your head have to be to not see that your party is practically driven by conspiracy theories and falsehoods after the last decade??

I’m just having dinner and a good laugh with the nazis, but I’m not one (wink, wink). Says every GOP senator

XMark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them."

So interesting that the two candidates the right think are going to shift us from voting for Biden are a crazed anti-vaccination conspiracy wonk, and the one of two Senators that have stopped us from getting any legislation done.

But it'll be enough to shift independents.

There's a good video by More Perfect Union the describes No Labels, [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3sZ2hzibKs]. TL;DR: it's a party created by a whole bunch of billionaires (i.e. Blackstone) with a history of opposing democracy.

Personally I think Steve Bannon’s little pretend Democrat club is going to backfire on them, if somehow Trump doesn’t get the nomination these dickheads are far more likely to steal away MAGA voters than Independents & Democrats. They are basically banking on the “Kennedy” name overriding the fact he’s a batshit crazy idiot, but they forget most people today don’t give a fuck about the Kennedy family, that hook only really works for people over 60 or so.

Time will tell.

Base Air Show Featuring Scantily Clad Models Raises Questions About Justification for Drag Show Ban ( www.military.com )

At Joint Base Lewis-McChord's air show just outside of Tacoma, Washington, this past weekend, onlookers and families saw tactical military jets, high-performance sports cars and risqué models dancing on stage in skintight red, white and blue bikinis, part of what organizers described as a "way to thank the Puget Sound...
