Is Star Trek really being Star Trek if they only stick a predictable script and don’t do something wacky every now and then? It WAS Star Trek being Star Trek.

I watched them all as a kid with my mom and we watched all the movies in theaters. Other than the movies I’ve never had the urge to go back and watch except for the very occasional nostalgia for a specific scene in an episode. I’ll always have love in my heart for TOS but it is very much a product of its time and I can’t blame anyone for struggling to get into it now. Best recommendation is to watch it with an old school trek fan because their reactions and excitement can amp up the experience a lot. Gotta be a fan that doesn’t take it too seriously because you also need the freedom to laugh at how silly some of it is when it’s not trying to be

Almost all remote-work news is negative now but was positive in the beginning of the pandemic. Have you noticed this or am I going crazy?

Earlier in the pandemic many news and magazine organizations would proudly write about how working from home always actually can lead to over working and being too “productive”. I am yet to collect some evidence on it but I think we remember a good amount about this....

One of my sups from my old job was recently complaining that people weren’t required to come in more than two days a week and pushing to increase it because the office is lonely without them. She and people like her are the absolute worst. Main character syndrome doesn’t even begin to describe them and I wish nothing but the worst for them in life tbh
