Life is a preposterous horror.

Money speaks for money, the devil for his own
Who comes to speak for the skin and the bone?

The law locks up the man or woman
Who steals the goose off the common
But leaves the greater villain loose
Who steals the common from the goose.

Microsoft delays data-scraping Recall feature again, commits to public beta test

Recall will go through Windows Insider pipeline like any other Windows feature.

@arstechnica A tremendous amount of effort for Recall, something that nobody wants and nobody asked for, with about as much use case as letting the NSA film your home 24/7 in case you misplace your keys.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is more than worth the hassle of being free on Epic Games

Sadly overlooked on release, the card/turn-based battler is a real bargain.

@arstechnica Roguelike deckbuilders with card combat were boring after Slay the Spire and Monster Train and Inscryption and Griftlands and Roguebook and Ring of Pain and Runeterra and Tower Tactics and Across the Obelisk and Card Quest.

The Marvel veneer is all that's interesting about it, and that's not a big interest. Great if you love the genre I guess?

I need another one like I need another Vampire Survivors clone or 4 player asymmetrical multiplayer game based on a horror franchise.

@arstechnica Proving, once and for all, how worthless even being on a video call is.

Sony backs down, won’t enforce PSN accounts for Helldivers 2 PC players on Steam

What will Sony do next for an audience that likes its games but not its network?

@arstechnica Every time I see a third party launcher for a game that doesn't need one, I hope the executive who ordered it goes blind and lives a life of forever pain.

Ubisoft? 2k? Sony?

All of them, fuck you all for third party launchers.

Excuse me but how is Louis DeJoy still postmaster general?

His destructive 10-year plan for the Post Office—slowing mail delivery, hiking prices for consumers, and speeding up privatization—is in full effect.

Hello?

PatrickoftheG ,
@PatrickoftheG@mastodon.social avatar

@rbreich Is it because Democrats and Republicans make a lot of money, yes both parties, to keep him there destroying the post office? A lot of campaign donations and PACs I am sure fund DeJoy's ride.

Google Search will start automatically showing a chatbot to some users

The search chatbot used to be opt-in, but now Google will try it on normal users.

@arstechnica A chat bot that makes up things, every now and then, is probably more useful than Google Search which is just SEO scripts mirror back my search terms at me and deliberately hiding all useful information for ad impressions that don't exist because I am blocking advertisements.
