A wildfire burns outside Los Angeles.

New England will face heat as high as 107° this week.

Florida neighborhoods are under water.

Meanwhile, Trump has called the climate crisis a "hoax" and has promised to roll back Biden's clean energy investments and "drill, baby, drill."

@RVLara23@mastodon.social avatar

@rbreich it's very easy for these old white politicians to shrug off climate change bc they'll never be around for the worst of it and they only care about themselves.

Which begs a question about term limits but well...... then I'm going to have to laugh at that idea becoming reality.

The Biden Admin's rule limiting credit card late fees was set to begin tomorrow.

But a Trump-appointed judge blocked it at the request of the Chamber of Commerce — costing U.S. families an estimated $27 million a day.

@georgetakei I get why people feel the way they do, certainly. And it's their right to act as they see fit, accordingly. But there will be consequences.

I can see the outcome a million miles away. Trump will win. Rs will probably control all 3 branches. And things will get a whole lot worse right here in America. Probably in many ways people can't even envision, currently.

I don't see how that's helping anything.

@arstechnica More fuel for what I already know. I'm flat out dumping Netflix in the near future ESPECIALLY if another price hike happens. I'm not interested in an ad tier. I'll just quit it entirely.

They won't notice or care but my wallet will.
