What do you use to track BMCs/KVMs/IPMI?

I manage hundreds of servers at work. They each have a BMC (remote power on/off, reset, KVM, etc) and we need to use those features frequently. I’ve been using a Google Docs spreadsheet to track their URLs, what each box is used for, specs, etc but it feels like a dynamic web app would be better for this purpose. Does anyone...

NDAs more often protect strategic information than some big secret.

Stuff like when they will release something, pricing, etc. It really means nothing to 99% of the planet and will mean nothing in a month, but a competitor can use the information to make counter moves.

Can anyone give me advice on how to solve this T1-11 siding rot? ( lemmy.zip )

I recently bought my first house and I noticed some rot happening beside our garage door. It appears that when the cement driveway was poured, they got too close to the siding and now water is wicking up into the wood. I figure I can cut back the siding and replace it but how do I stop this from happening again?

Once it’s rotted, you need to replace. This will also give you the opportunity to look at the wood behind the siding as there’s a good chance that the rot goes deeper.

You never want to have untreated wood touching concrete. Concrete will always wick water and rot the wood. When you replace the siding, leave a 3/8in gap between the wood and concrete. Seal the gap with caulk to keep water out.

It’s a setup for the RICO case.

In order to prove RICO, you need to prove in court that crimes were committed and that they were part of an organized effort.

Having lower level actors plead guilty establishes that there were actual crimes that were committed. You can’t argue that something is not a crime after there’s a conviction.

Now add in the promise to point fingers in future trials, and you can connect the bosses to these proven crimes to establish the organized efforts.

Yes and No.

They were really designed to show the same output on the screen and printer.

Even if you are using the same word processor software and file format, a document can look vastly different when you send it to someone else who doesn’t have the same screen resolution or the same fonts installed.

PDF started as just a print preview for the postscript printer language. They should have just stopped there instead of trying to make it do all sorts of other shit that can open security holes.

The constant parade of file formats drove popularity, but it was really about being the only popular format to look the same.
