Last month Manchin further stirred Democratic concerns with an appearance in the early-voting state of New Hampshire with the “No Labels” group, where he mulled starting a third-party presidential campaign in 2024, challenging Democratic President Joe Biden. Having a third-party candidate would “threaten” the two major political parties, Manchin said.
He thinks WAY too highly of himself. He might complicate the Republican vote, but he wouldn’t threaten Biden.
A reasonable person with even a shred of self respect would simply choose not to run in such a situation. But then, if he was reasonable and had any self respect, he wouldn’t have chosen to be Trump’s VP in the first place.
I’ve changed my mind in the last few weeks. I don’t want reddit to die. I want it to keep limping along so the idiots, trolls, and petty tyrants stay there.
Some people aren’t being as empathetic as they could. Please don’t take it personally. A lot of us (myself included) are reddit refugees, and being accusatory/defensive is often the default. It takes some time to realize that it’s okay to give people the benefit of the doubt.
We knew things were bad, but we didn’t realize just how bad it had gotten over there. I’m only half joking when I call it PRSD (Post Reddit Stress Disorder).
I don’t see how you can reconcile claiming to fight labor exploitation while at the same time giving away your labor for free to a billion dollar company.
This article kinda makes me hope for reddit to survive. I want all the toxic, angry assholes to stay there, not desperately flee to the fediverse in search of their fix.
